One of the online occupations that is slowly becoming more and more popular at present is what is called a virtual assistant.
A virtual assistant is basically like a virtual secretary. His or her task is to give assistance to the person he or she is assigned to. The online assistant will do various clerical services like maintain a customer database or list. It can also be something like a research associate job where the responsibility includes researching on various kinds of topics or subjects and generating a report about it. An virtual assistant usually earns on a per hour basis and the engagement can range from a few hours a day to a full work day and work week.
