As what has been said many times over, a resume is your key to getting a job interview. Resume comes in many forms. There are the traditional resume, the scannable resume and the written resume. No matter what resume you use, make sure you create a professional-looking resume.

Here are some tips to follow when making a resume for the first time:
1. Drop the pronouns such as I, me and my to make your resume more active.
2. Never talk about job responsibilities, focus on your accomplishments instead.
3. Never give personal information such as age, religion, marriage and family status. Most employers today do not want to be accused of being biased.
4. Do not include previous or expected salary information.
5. Do not include a list of professional references, unless required.
