The problem with many job seekers, particularly those who have been exposed to the concept of non-traditional job hunting, is that they become mere spectators. Once the resume has been sent through e-mail or delivered by snail-mail to the prospective company, they pause and wait for the company to do the next move for them.

The fact is, you have to be proactive to make your job search faster. You may do so by making a follow up to the company regarding the status of your job application. This way, you let the company know of your sincerity as a job candidate. The more effort you put in your job search, the faster the results will be achieved.
